Heute: Vegane gefüllte Paprika mit Tomatensoße:

Die Füllung der Paprikaschoten besteht aus:

- 100g Couscous (Gequellt in 200ml mittelstarker Gemüsebrühe)
- 100g zerbröselter „Feta“ (pflanzlich) von bedda
- 1 Zwiebel (gewürfelt)
- 2 Zehen Knoblauch (gewürfelt)
- 2 EL Olivenöl
- 1 EL Basilikum (getrocknet)
- 1 EL Thymian (getrocknet)
- 1 TL Kreuzkümmel (Pulver)
- Prise Salz und Pfeffer (Schwarz)

Die Zutaten einfach mit dem gequellten Couscous vermengen und in die Paprika füllen.

Das ganze dann in eine Auflaufform mit Tomatensoße (Öl, Zwiebeln, Tomaten, Salz, Pfeffer und Zucker, nothing fancy) geben und bei 180 Grad für etwa 40 Minuten Ober-Unterhitze im Backofen backen.

Sehr leckeres und Schmackhaftes Rezept und Couscous ist eine tolle vegane Proteinquelle.

Ich war am Wochenende in #Berlin. Wenn man aus einer niedersächsischen Kleinstadt kommt, dann ist der #ÖPNV dort paradiesisch. S-Bahnen, U-Bahnen, Busse, im Osten auch Straßenbahnen, und das ganze im 10 Minuten-Takt. Traumhaft. Was mich verwirrt: Warum fahren so viele Berliner Auto? Wenn ich in Berlin einen Parkplatz gefunden hätte, würde ich den nie wieder hergeben 🙃

Today I learned: Es gibt tatsächlich Menschen, die denken, dass Laktose-freie Sahne und Milch vegan sei.

Zitat: „Ich hab für den Kuchen extra die Milch ohne Laktose genommen, damit ihr den auch essen könnt“.

Und da war ich dann einen Moment sprachlos und hatte mühe, dass mir die Gesichtszüge nicht vollends entgleiten 🤦🏻‍♂️

Ach ja: Und Eier waren natürlich auch noch drin. An die hatte sie ja gar nicht gedacht und war sehr überrascht, dass wir das auch nicht essen.

I really highly enjoy the #Proxmox ecosystem. Recently added a #Proxmox #Backup Server with #ZFS to my infrastructure and backup&restore has never been easier!

Having daily de-duplicated backups of all my virtual machines with verification, good reporting and easy restorability is really a game changer.

Heute gibt es #Kaiserschmarrn in #Vegan

- 250g Weizenmehl (alternativ: Dinkel, wer es mag)
- 2 TL Backpulver
- 1 TL Natron
- 1 Prise Salz
- Messerspitze frische Vanille
- 50g Rohrohrzucker
- 350ml Sojadrink
- 40ml Rapsöl
- 1 TL Zitronensaft
- Paar Rosinen nach Wahl

Erst die trockenen Zutaten vermengen und dann die flüssigen dazugeben und alles zu einem honogenen Teig verrühren.

In einer (ofennfesten!) Pfanne mit etwas Alsan bei mittlerer Hitze anfangen auzubacken dann mit 2 Kochlöffeln in kleine Stückchen zerreißen, sobald der Teig gestockt ist.

Ich gebe dann nach 2-3 Minuten die ganze Pfanne in den vorgeheizten Backofen und lasse es dort fertig durchgaren.

Am Schluss noch mit Puderzucker bestäuben und voila. Kaiserschmarrn ganz ohne Ei oder Milch.

Masse für die Füllung: Linsen, Zwiebeln, Karotten, Shiitake, Knoblauch, Mandeln, hausgemachte Gemüsebrühe und Tomatenmark.

Gewürzt mit Salz, Chili, Kreuzkümmel, Knoblauchpulver und Räucherpaprika.

Das ganze gab es in Weizen Tortillas mit einer veganen Knoblauch Creme, „My Veggie Gouda Geschmack“ Streu“käse“ (Definitiv keine!! Kaufenpfehlung!), Optional dazu noch Tomate, Avocado, Mais und Kidney Bohnen.

Heute: Gebratene Nudeln mit Gemüse und chinesischem "Mock chicken" aus der Dose (Süchtig machendes "Hühnchen" aus Weizenprotein).

Frage an die #vegan bubble hier im Fediverse:

Ich habe seit Tagen Heißhunger auf #Schupfnudeln. Kennt jemand ein gutes Rezept, wie man die vegan machen kann, und das von Konsistenz und Geschmack lecker ist?

Die Butter im Teig lässt sich ja einfach durch ein pflanzliches Fett ersetzen, aber für die Eier, welche ja maßgeblich für die Bindung des Teigs verwendet werden, bräuchte ich noch eine Alternative.

Hat da jemand evtl ein Rezept und das auch am besten schon mal ausprobiert und für gut empfunden?

Ist eigentlich allen bekannt, dass eine Filterung der öffentlichen Timeline nach Sprachen möglich ist?

#Marmite, das Geheimnis meiner veganen Küche. Das ist ein (völlig veganes) Hefe-Extrakt, welches zum Würzen und Verfeinern verwendet werden kann. Ich verwende es für Soßen, Suppen, Brühen, Aufläufe und zum würzen von Soja und Seitan. Schmeckt irgendwie salzig/deftig/aromatisch und sehr #umami.

Gerade kam mein Nachschub aus Großbritannien an 🥳

Geraten zum ersten Mal seit sicher 15 Jahren in einem Kino gewesen.

In kleinen REX Kino in Schifferstadt Rheinland-Pfalz. Das hat dort noch richtig den klassischen Flair eines familiengeführten Lichtspielhauses mit 2 Sälen und den vibe lange vergangener Jahrzehnte.

Mag technisch jetzt nicht das gleiche sein wie ein modernes Multiplex Kino, ist aber irgendwie viel gemütlicher und eben viel kleiner. 5 Minuten Smalltalk mit dem Chef vor dem Film, dazu freie Platzwahl in den Kinosälen und frisches, warmes Popcorn 🍿

Der Film was Disney/Pixars neues Werk „Alles steht Kopf Teil 2“. Schöner und und unterhaltsamer Film, wie es zu erwarten war.

Das kleine Kino hat uns definitiv nicht zum letzten Mal beherbergt.

Mal ein wenig durch geschaut, was sich so alles an Abos angesammelt hat und ein wenig subscription Hygiene betrieben:

- Amazon Prime: gekündigt (nutze ich inzwischen zu selten)

- Paramount Plus gekündigt (Star Trek Discovery ist vorbei)

- GeforceNow gekündigt (nutze ich inzwischen zu selten)

- OnThatAss Abo gekündigt (Kleiderschrank kann keine weiteren aufnehmen)

- 1 Virtueller Server gekündigt (Dienste auf Proxmox Host migriert)

Netflix und Audible hatte ich schon vor längerer Zeit beide raus gekickt und vermisse sie nicht. Habe eh noch mehr als genug content.

Nächste Baustelle:

- Meta Accounts löschen (Facebook/Instagram)

- Twitter und BlueSky Accounts vollständig löschen (sind eh inaktiv)

- Microsoft Konto löschen (keine Verwendung mehr)

- 2 weitere Server migrieren und kündigen.

Das einzige, wovon ich mich aktuell nicht trennen kann und will, ist mein Google Account mit YouTube Premium.

Der/Die eine oder andere haben in den letzten Tagen sicherlich bemerkt, dass die Performance unserer #Mastodon Instanz nicht optimal war und insbesondere zu den Abendstunden und am Wochenende teilweise deutliche Verzögerungen aufgetreten sind.(Besonders von Anschlüssen der Deutschen Telekom)

Wir haben heute das IP-Routing unserer Instanz so verändert, dass dieses Problem nicht mehr besteht. Unsere Tests bestätigen, dass die Ladezeiten jetzt wieder erfreulich schnell sind.

Ursache des Problem lagen in Engpässen der Kapazität bei einem Netzwerk-Übergangspunkt zwischen Providern.

I use the awesome openpgp-card-ssh-agent (https://codeberg.org/openpgp-card/ssh-agent) from @hko to use physical OpenPGP Smartcards for SSH authentication.

Sometimes, I want to use my OpenPGP card while working on a remote system.

An incredibly useful feature for that is SSH forwarding in combination with the agents socket (sockets can be forwarded via SSH just like tcp ports):

Socket location on my workstation: /run/user/1000/openpgp-card/ssh-agent.sock

Socket location on the remote host: $HOME/.tmp/ssh-agent.sock

1. Connecting to the remote server and forwarding the socket:

ssh -R /home/username/.tmp/ssh-agent.sock:/run/user/1000/openpgp-card/ssh-agent.sock remote-system.tld

2. Using the Socket on the remote system::

SSH_AUTH_SOCK=$HOME/.tmp/ssh-agent.sock ssh root@some-other-system.tld

Warning: This exposes the socket of opengp-card-ssh-agent to the remote system. Anyone with the neccesary privileges can use the session and access your local Smartcard, too. Use this with caution!

POC: #RedHat Enterprise #Linux 9 Workstation running on #Proxmox VE with #xrdp and #Apache #Guacamole to access it internally (or via #wireguard VPN) via the Web Browser.

Running smoothly, fast enough and is a good self-hosted "cloud desktop" to do some work on on-the-go.

Initially only an experiment, but I'm really satisfied with the result and will keep it as a remote workstation 🙂

Finally finished rebuilding my keyboard.

Base: Keychron K8 Pro
Switches: Voyager V2 Tactile (lubed)
Keycaps: Glorious „Code brew“ (Cherry profile)

I like the aesthetics and how it feels. As good as I expected it.

Love the new edge barrier feature, in my multi-monitor setup. This makes aligning windows so much more pleasant!

On the localization, something is still off. I run the desktop environment in German and there's a mix between German and English text in some menus/context menus now.

Other than some missing translation, this is a perfect release so far! Awesome.

Fully disassembled my mechanical keyboard (Keychron K8 Pro) and cleaned the pcb and plate with rubber alcohol. Always an (unpleasant) surprise, how much dirty and grime collects down there.

Now reassembling the whole keyboard again, but with different switches. This time it’s going to be the lubed Voyager V2 Tactile switches, I recently got from Kinetic labs. They feel incredibly well and have a nice and rich sound profile (deep, creamy, satisfying)

Oh, and the keyboard is using the fully free open source QMK firmware (https://github.com/qmk/qmk_firmware) and I compile it myself, using my own custom branch with modifications I did and flash that to my keyboard.

Good day to rebase my branch to the lasted upstream and update the keyboard. They added a couple new features and led shenanigans since I updated it for the last time.

Trying out #KASM. (#Docker based #linux desktops in the cloud that can be accessed in the browser).

The concept is great but I am not convinced that the performance is good enough for serious work. I have a proper low-latency fibre connection and still that desktop feels a little sluggish.

When this would get "snappier", it would be a truly awesome solution! Still a nice project and I highly enjoyed fiddling around with it.

Enough work done for today.

- Updated Hypervisor Hosts top #Proxmox VE 8.2.4
- Standardized virtual machine hardware configurations (cpu model, memory balooning, io configuration etc)
- Updated all guests operating systems
- Enabled public #IPv6 for every single virtual machine in my network (including forward and reverse DNS)
- Lots of nftables firewalling fixed

Tweaked my personal Fedora update command a little further, using the new dnf5 now instead of the old (and still default) dnf4.

To fully update my system (packages, flatpaks, firmware), I now use this (as a shell alias):

sudo dnf5 update -y --refresh --setopt=fastestmirror=1 && flatpak update -y && fwupdmgr refresh --force && fwupdmgr update -y

On my containerized Gitlab server, I have SSL-Certificates at /opt/gitlab/config/data/ssl

ipa-getcert will only place the TLS certificates in there, if the directory context is cert_t

But if I set it to cert_t, then the containerized Gitlab can't access it anymore. For that to work, I must reset it to container_file_t

sealert doesn't give a good solution, so I ended up with a very bad and not elegant solution:

#Stop Gitlab
- podman stop gitlab

#Change context to cert_t
- chcon -R -t cert_t /opt/gitlab/config/data/ssl

#Get certificate
- ipa-getcert request -f /opt/gitlab/config/ssl/gitlab.crt -k /opt/gitlab/config/ssl/gitlab.key

#Set context to container_file_t
- chcon -R -t container_file_t /opt/gitlab/config/data/ssl

#Start Gitlab
- podman start gitlab

That is a very bad solution but currently the best, I could come up with

- Updated my Proxmox Hypervisor Hosts and Backup-Server to new Debian GNU/Linux 12.6 and rebooted them.

- Updated burningboard.net Mastodon Instance to Debian GNU/Linux 12.6 plus a quick reboot.

- Started writing an Ansible playbook to unify all my ssh public-keys on the numerous servers, I have (Multiple keys from different times, inconsistent distribution of them on the systems etc.) My homelab systems are all using #freeIPA but my colo-servers developed into quite the chaos and that needs cleanup.

- Reworked my Neovim configuration to use Neogit instead of vim-fugitive
